Henry County Commissioner Brian Preston, who represents District 2, has made it official that he will not be running in 2016 for another term.

He filed an affidavit to that effect earlier in the month with the state.

Preston was elected to the Henry County Board of Education for two terms beginning in 2004, and less than a year before the end of his second term he was appointed to the Board of Commissioners, where he remained after winning the 2012 election.
