The Powder Springs City Council voted recently to install three call boxes as a means of increasing safety along the Silver Comet Trail and two other city trails.

The call boxes will be installed by Knine All Systems Inc. for $24,154.

They will be located on Lucille Trail, Carter Road and Hopkins Road.

Trail mileage in the city includes 3.7 for the Silver Comet Trail, 1.5 for Wild Horse Creek Trail and 1.1 for Lucille Trail.
