The Powder Springs City Council voted 5-0 last week to spend $65,223 to repair the Lewis Road overpass at Norfolk Southern Railroad.

Ardito will be paid to repair a depression in the road and joint work to fix the existing concrete voids.

In other business related to streets, six removable speed humps will be installed on Sharon Drive near McDonald’s.

Police have clocked drivers going an average of 39 miles per hour in the 25 mph zone.

Also, the city will pay $26,500 to Watt Commercial Sweeping Inc. for street sweeping on some city roads twice a year.
