The Powder Springs City Council voted Monday to spend $53,000 to buy more property for the roundabout to be built on Lewis Road at Atlanta Street.

However, the council members decided to table a decision on paying Knight and Associates, Inc. nearly $988,891 for the roundabout’s construction “for more information,” City Clerk Kelly Axt said.

During the reading of the consent agenda by City Attorney Richard Calhoun, he gave no explanation for the reason for the delay other than to say this item had been “deleted.”

In previous action regarding the roundabout on June 15, the council members agreed to spend $188,734 to buy two properties.
