The Powder Springs City Council voted 3-0-2 Monday to pay $188,734 to buy two properties for the new downtown roundabout.
Absent were Councilwomen Nancy Hudson and Cheryl Sarvis.
The roundabout will be located on Lewis Road in the Town Center area.
The city also agreed to pay about $90,000 to TruGreen LandCare and to eliminate the use of prisoners to care for part of the city’s landscaping.
