Powder Springs city officials are seeking permission from their city court to tear down two houses.

One is at 3686 Powder Springs Road, on around 1 acre, belonging to the estate of James R. Gantt.

The other is at 3975 Evelyn Drive in Glenbrook Acres subdivision, belonging to Jimmy L. Sprayberry II and James William Moye.

Hearings will be 4 p.m. Monday at the Powder Springs Municipal Court, 4483 Pineview Drive, according to a legal ad placed by Tracie Jackson, clerk of the city’s court.

City officials claim the structures are “unfit for human habitation.”
