The Powder Springs City Council granted 5-0 June 4 two contracts for road resurfacing, totaling $1,766,816.

Bartow Paving was awarded a $1,528,392 contract to resurface Buffington Way, Pembrooke Way, Sweetbriar Lane, Warwick Lane, Pinetree Court, Morning Dew Court, Spring Industrial Drive, Spring Gate Drive, Christian Drive and Powder Springs-Dallas Road under the 2016 Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax program.

C. W. Matthews Contracting will be paid $238,424 to resurface unspecified roads under the 2018 Local Maintenance and Improvement Grant program administered by the Georgia Department of Transportation.
