Could you survive poverty? Here’s a chance to find out. Community leaders, church and civic groups, educators, legal system personnel, and members of the business community are invited to participate in a UGA Cooperative Extension program, “Welcome to the state of poverty: Can you survive?” The simulation will help participants better understand obstacles faced by families living in poverty and develop plans for community action. The simulation is Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Loreto Hall, 101 Walt Banks Rd., Peachtree City. Cost: $5. Space is limited and registration is required.
