Fayette County is accepting applications for an open seat on its Development Authority.

The nine-member committee meets at 4 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of each month in Fayetteville to help set policy, determine annual goals and serve as a liaison between the business community and local government. Five of the members are appointed by the county commission and three by the governments of Fayetteville, Peachtree City and Tyrone; the ninth member is from the Peachtree City Airport Authority. The board uses those combined perspectives to help improve the local business climate and diversify Fayette County’s economic base.

The open four-year term begins April 10 and expires on April 9, 2024. Applications are at www.fayettecountyga.gov under the Public Notices page. Submissions must be received at the county administrative office at 140 Stonewall Ave. West, Suite 100, in Fayetteville by 5 p.m. on March 27.
