A portion of Peachtree Road and 14th Street will close for paving, according to a release from the Georgia Department of Transportation.

The closure will begin 8 p.m. Wednesday and end 5 a.m. Thursday.

The work is part of a resurfacing and restriping project to improve Highway 9/West Peachtree Street/Peachtree Road/ Roswell Road from Northside Drive to Lake Placid Drive in Sandy Springs, according to the release.

Alternating right and left lanes will be closed on Peachtree Road near the intersections of West Peachtree and Spring Streets for milling and paving, according to the release.

Once complete, contractors will close one right lane on 14th Street heading toward Northside Drive.
