A popular Gwinnett County sports bar failed its recent health inspection, with officials noting an employee preparing food without gloves and other items not discarded in a timely fashion.
Kuzan's Sports and Spirits, located at 105 Horizon Drive in Suwanee, received a 58/U on the Wednesday inspection.
According to the inspection report, officials watched an "employee handling/preparing cabbage with bare hands."Inspectors also reported finding "cooked, ready-to-eat potentially hazardous foods ... [that were] not discarded after seven days."
Other violations included chicken that wasn't cooked to the proper temperature, employee drinks stored on the food prep counter and "failure of proper supervision" by the manager in charge.
"Person in charge did not know adequate cook temperature of chicken," the report said.
Calls to the restuarant went unanswered Thursday morning. A follow-up inspection will be completed within 10 days of the failing evaluation.
