Gwinnett County police on Wednesday identified the 22-year-old man killed in a wreck in unincorporated Lawrenceville the day before.

Kenneth Hayden, of Sugar Hill, died at the scene of the accident, which happened around 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

Authorities said Hayden was driving a white 1998 Chevrolet that was stopped on Sugarloaf Parkway waiting to turn left onto Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road.

As the light turned from green to yellow, Hayden's vehicle was hit on the right side as it turned into the path of a black 1997 Jeep Cherokee, driven by 28-year-old Jonathan Bagwell, that was traveling north on the parkway, investigators said.

Bagwell, of Loganville, was transported to Gwinnett Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries, police said.

The investigation is continuing. Speed and right of way are being examined as possible causes of the crash, police said.
