Cobb County police are treating the death of a man found in an Austell home as a homicide.

The mysterious incident began shortly after 6 p.m. Sunday, when police pulled over a woman driving erratically on Blair Bridge Road.

"When the officer approached the driver, she said she had gotten a call and heard something had happened at her house and was rushing to get home," police spokesman Officer Joe Hernandez said. "At the same time, cops were getting the 911 call."

Officers escorted the woman to her Ling Drive home and searched it.  They found Danny Lee Robinson Jr.  dead in the bedroom. Robinson, 27, of College Park,  had been shot.

Detectives are "treating it as a homicide," Hernandez said.
