Three juveniles were taken into custody by Atlanta police Saturday for allegedly snatching an iPhone from a Salvation Army volunteer at Lenox Square mall.

Atlanta police spokeswoman Kim Jones told the AJC that the victim told police that she was collecting money outside the food court entrance when two of the juveniles “engaged her in conversation while the third juvenile reached in the victim’s coat pocket and snatched her iPhone.”

The three boys ran from the mall, but were located near the MARTA station at East Paces Ferry Road and Lenox Road.

“The victim positively identified the three juveniles as the subjects who stole her phone,” Jones said.

The three juveniles were charged with robbery and released to their parents.
