Police surround Woodstock High, remove gun

Two students were arrested and one handgun found on the campus of Woodstock High School on Thursday morning. The school was locked down for a short time.

Authorities called for mutual aid, locked down the school and located the students and one of the handguns.

Holly Springs police got a tip that two or three students would be going to Woodstock High School Thursday armed with a handgun and two assault rifles, along with 180 rounds of ammunition, according to Sgt. Jay Baker of the Cherokee Sheriff's Department.

This handgun was found hidden at the school.

Investigators searched this house on Misty Valley Way and reportedly emerged with 2 rifle cases.

Two rifles and a collection of magazines were taken from a suspect's house.

Ammunition was also found at the home of one of the suspects.
