Police searched eight Decatur businesses after delivering search warrants for illegal gambling Tuesday.

The locations searched, mostly small groceries and convenience stores, all had licenses to operate coin operated amusement machines — including pinball and video game machines — but the Georgia Bureau of Investigation says customers were winning cash if they won credits. Georgia law only allows credits to be redeemed for lottery tickets or store merchandise.

All eight locations were on Glenwood Road:

Multiple arrests related to the search warrants are pending, GBI said. More than 80 agents, investigators and officers from the GBI’s Commercial Gambling Unit, DeKalb County Police Department and the Georgia Department of Revenue executed the warrants in cooperation with the Georgia Lottery Corporation.
