Atlanta police Officer Otis Redmond said police went to the park entrance at Piedmont and 10th Avenue shortly after 10:30 a.m.

"At this time, the shooting appears to be self inflicted," police said.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner's office will be investigating the incident, Redmond said.
