Police are searching for a robber who opened fire inside a Gwinnett County gas station.

The violent robbery happened Tuesday night at the Shell station on Killian Hill Road in Lilburn.

No one was hurt but a customer tells Channel 2 Action News that the robber fired his gun right near him.

"I was in my car, near to me. He shoot near to me," said Berhane Woldemicael.

Police say the robber fired the gun to scare the people inside.

"He fired a shot for intimidation factor. Nobody was struck or injured during the altercation," said Lilburn Police Lt. Chris Dusik.

The man got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police are continuing to search for the man.
