Sandy Springs police say they are still searching for suspects who burglarized a home on Whitner Drive on Monday afternoon.

The suspects broke the back door and stole $7,450 in jewelry and technology from the home, police said. Among items stolen were a 55-inch flat-screen TV, an Apple Macbook, a pair of Beats By Dre headphones and a 16-inch gold and diamond necklace valued at $1,000.

According to a police report, officers responded to the scene just after 1 p.m. on July 17 and noticed that the back door had been “booted in” and a window on the door was broken. The owner of the home met with police and checked checked for stolen items.

The 45-year-old woman who owned the home told police that a TV, laptop and headphones were missing, and so was a jewelry box that contained the expensive 16-inch necklace, a Duke University ring and several other pieces of jewelry.

Police say they do not have a description of the suspect or suspects, and neighbors told police they hadn’t noticed any recent suspicious activity.

The case is still active, and anyone with information about the case can submit a tip on the Sandy Springs Police Facebook page.
