An argument between two roommates inside their Marietta apartment led one man to stab the other to death during a fight Monday night, police said. Alcohol was possibly involved.

Officers were called to the Winridge Apartment Complex on Lake Drive shortly before 8 p.m., Marietta Officer Jennifer Murphy said. Inside the apartment, officers found a 23-year-old man with multiple stab wounds, she said. The victim, whose name was not released, was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital, where he later died.

The suspect, 35-year-old Jose Ricardo Zelaya Orellano, was found a short time later trying to get into someone else's home, Murphy said. He was transported to Kennestone for treatment of exposure to the cold.

Once he is released from the hospital, Orellano will be taken to the Cobb County jail, where he will be held without bond, Murphy said. Orellano will be charged with malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault with the intent to murder, and possession of knife during commission of felony.
