A 61-year-old Sandy Springs man impaled himself and died while trying to climb a fence, police said Friday.
David Leubecker was found impaled on a wrought-iron fence on Thursday behind a home on Highland Bluff, Sgt. Ron Momon said.
Investigators believe Leubecker was attempting to climb the fence to take a shortcut to his neighborhood when he slipped, Momon told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
No further details were released.
