Canton police said the driver of a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado apparently suffered a seizure before driving the truck into the swimming pool of a Days Inn on Friday night.
Three police officer jumped into the pool of the motel at 101 Juniper Street in Canton to pull out the man and a child who was riding with him, said Sgt. Stacy Bailey, a spokesperson for the Canton Police Department.
Both were taken to Northside Hospital-Cherokee with minor injuries. Bailey said the man had a history of seizures but had a legitimate drivers license.
"Everything was kosher," she said.
