Police detained about 10 people Tuesday after using tear gas to storm a house on Hosea Williams Drive in northeast Atlanta.
Police were looking for a man they say fired shots in the vicinity earlier. Witnesses said the man parked a U-Haul in front of the house at 4247 Hosea Williams Drive and went inside.
A police spokeswoman told Channel 2 Action News reporter Erica Byfield a SWAT team was called after the homeowner refused to let them in.
After firing the tear gas, police detained about 10 men and women.
Initially, they took two people into custody -- the man they were looking for and the homeowner. Late Tuesday, they released the homeowner.
