Guns and a ski mask were found in the car of a convicted felon who led police in Cobb County on a chase Monday, and investigators are checking to determine if he was involved in other crimes.

Channel 2 Action News reported that when officers tried to pull Demarius Cloud over for speeding, he took off. Cloud wrecked on Austell Road, then ran away. He was eventually found hiding behind a nearby home and was arrested.

Police found a sawed-off shotgun, a fully loaded 9mm pistol and a ski mask inside the Jeep that the convicted felon was driving, Channel 2 reported.

Last month, a Cobb magistrate signed an arrest warrant for Cloud for allegedly shoplifting an air bed from a Cobb Parkway Walmart.

Cloud, 24, of Atlanta,  was also arrested last year in Fulton County on cocaine possession charges.

He is being held without bond in the Cobb County Jail, charged with attempt to elude, speeding, obstruction of an officer, reckless driving, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
