Police: Clayton woman killed man, self
Clayton County police say the two people found early Friday inside a home off Mt. Zion Boulevard died in an apparent murder-suicide.
Police spokesman Phong Nguyen said investigators believe Mayra Martines, 46, shot 38-year-old Rene Vasquez in the garage of their home then walked to an upstairs bedroom and shot herself.
Officers received a call of a “person down around 7:10 a.m. Friday. There was no sign of a break-in at the residence, located on Victoria Drive.
