Police chief's wife to be sentenced in theft

Dec 4, 2010The wife of the police chief of McDonough will be sentenced Monday for stealing thousands of dollars from the city, according to a report on wsbtv.com.
Callie Dorsey, wife of McDonough Police Chief Preston Dorsey, admits to stealing nearly $7,000 from the city, according to her attorney.
Dorsey, 49 at the time she admitted the theft last year, had worked as an administrative clerk at McDonough City Hall since February 2004. City officials believe she took almost $50,000 while employed with the city.
She faces a sentence of one to 15 years in prison. The Henry County Superior Court judge may also order restitution to the city.
According to the wsbtc.com article, Dorsey may not be able to pay restitution. She is now working an $8 an hour job.
