Two men suspected of several vehicle break-ins were arrested Friday morning after a 4-mile police chase ended in Douglasville. The two face several charges and could face charges for additional crimes.

The duo was spotted in a blue Ford Fusion in the Target parking lot on Chapel Hill Road, Douglasville police Chief Chris Womack told the AJC.

Officers attempted to stop the car, but the driver instead led police on a 4-mile chase, Womack said. Officers deployed stop sticks on Fairburn Road, causing the Fusion to blow a tire and strike several vehicles, including a work truck and a semi-trailer, police said. No one was injured.

But the chase still wasn't over. The passenger in the crashed Ford ran from the scene, but Womack himself caught him and placed him under arrest. The suspect, whose name was not released, had cash and drugs on him when he was captured, Womack said.

"I happened to be in the right place at the right time," Womack said of his efforts.

The names of the two arrested were not released.

Womack said the two could face similar charges with other police agencies in the area.
