A suspect was arrested Friday after crashing a stolen vehicle into a house near the intersection of Cleveland Avenue and Dearwood Drive in southwest Atlanta, police say.

Police said an Uber driver was carjacked at gunpoint at Grand Avenue and 1st Avenue, which is about half a mile away from where the black PT Cruiser crashed.

A gas main was damaged when the car crashed into a house, Atlanta Fire Department spokesman Cortez Stafford said.

The suspect, who police believe is a juvenile, sustained minor injuries after running through the woods, Atlanta police said.

Atlanta police officers, fire officials and Atlanta Gas Light were on the scene just after 3 p.m.
