Athens-Clarke County police Saturday were looking for two women who allegedly attacked a third woman with a machete and baseball bat.

According to a police press release, Tracy Elaine Cooper reported that she was at her home on Firewood Street about 11 p.m. Friday when "two females arrived and began arguing with her son."

One was carrying a machete, the other a baseball bat, police said.

"When Ms. Cooper pushed her son out of the way, the females swung the machete and baseball bat several times at her without making contact," the release stated.

Officers were unable to locate the suspects Friday night.
