Marietta’s City Council has sent Councilman Philip Goldstein’s plans for a brew pub back to the Historic Board of Review for another look. The historic board decided last week the design did not blend with other buildings on the Square and voted against the plan.

Goldstein said he will tweak the design to make it more accommodating to the board and to the council. Goldstein plans to build a three-story structure with rooftop terrace on North Park Square. He razed the previous structure in 2010.

The historic board will have to approve the project before the council can consider it.
