Planning Commission to decide on craft brewery

The Gwinnett County Planning Commission will meet at 7 p.m. Jan. 6 at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center, 75 Langley Drive in Lawrenceville.

Among items to be discussed is a rezoning request for a Wrecking Barn craft brewery and special events facility in conjunction with an existing organic farm on 7.02 acres at the northwest corner intersection of Brushy Fork Road and Old Loganville Road. If approved plans include adding two new buildings totaling 12,800 square feet to the existing 3,500 square foot barn and greenhouses. The rezoning applicant owns and operates the Wrecking Bar Brewpub in Atlanta and plans, along with Dillwood Farms, to provide beer and locally-grown produce.
