Plane crash in Lawrenceville

Photos of a plane crash in Lawrenceville that killed a pilot and woman in a house the aircraft slammed into.

NTSB investigators on Saturday combed through the wreckage of a plane crash in Lawrenceville from the previous day.

The plane slammed into a house killing the pilot and a woman inside the home. This car at the house was burned.

The pilot was on his way to see his six daughters in Sparta, Tenn., according to the NTSB.

The plane went down shortly before 1:30 p.m. after taking off from Gwinnett County Airpor.

Emergency officials said there was no contact between the pilot and the Gwinnett air traffic control tower, and no distress signal was sent from the plane.

The plane is older -- there is no so-called data recorder.
