The city of Atlanta is scheduled to repave Peachtree Road between Pharr Road and Peachtree Dunwoody Road this summer. The section of road between Pharr Road and Shadowlawn Avenue will also under go a lane reconfiguration, creating two northbound lanes, three southbound lanes and a center turn lane. The Georgia Department of Transportation also is scheduled to complete a similar repaving and lane reconfiguration project between Deering Road and Pharr Road this summer.
The improvements are based on public input and an analysis of traffic data. Once the project is underway, it is expected to take approximately a year to complete.
