The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted at its Feb. 20 regular meeting to approve a resolution allowing Leadership Henry to build a pavilion at the Bear Creek Recreation and Senior Activity Center. Implemented by the Henry County Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Henry is a development program that requires each class to work collectively to complete a Legacy Project intended to leave a lasting positive impact on the Henry County.

According to the resolution, the Leadership Henry Class of 2018 is responsible for funding the project, and will organize scheduling and construction of the project with the county manager to ensure that all plans are in agreement with the guidelines set by Henry County.
