Dunwoody is joining the growing number of cities offering outdoor movies this year, with a showing of “Diary of a Wimpy Kid.”

The PG-rated movie will be shown on an outdoor screen at the front play frield of Brook Run Park on North Peachtree Road on Sept. 25. Events, including a bounce hours and food, begin at 6 p.m. with the movie starting at dusk.

Dunwoody’s parks department is sponsoring the event, which is free and open to all ages. Movie-goers are asked to leave their pets, umbrellas and high-backed chairs at home for the movie.
