The Carters have done 32 work projects for Habitat for Humanity since 1984. These photos capture moments from some of them.

Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter have joined 2,500 volunteers in Memphis to build 19 homes for Habitat for Humanity this week, their 33rd work project for the organization. 1992 (Atlanta): Guest stars occasionally stop by during the Carters' work projects. In 1992, two months before being elected president, Arkansas Gov. Bill Clinton helped volunteer at an Atlanta project. Also joining them were Habitat for Humanity founder Miller Fuller (left), Hillary Clinton and Tipper Gore.
