Part 2: Inspired by the site Used to Be a Pizza Hut (http://UsedtobeaPizzaHut.blogspot.com/), a collection of more buildings across metro Atlanta that used to be Pizza Hut restaurants, as submitted by AJC readers.

Part 2: In our previous gallery of former Pizza Hut buildings, we introduced you to the metro Atlanta locations mentioned on the popular website Used to Be a Pizza Hut (UTBAPH). Bamba Hair Braiding (3700 Campbellton Rd. SW, Atlanta): This building includes a salon, a Senegalese restaurant and a car wash in the back, perhaps making it the hardest working former Pizza Hut in town. (PETE CORSON / PCORSON@AJC.COM)

Novo Cucina (5592 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd., Dunwoody): You may have to squint to see it, but there’s a Pizza Hut at the heart of this fast-casual Italian eatery opened by Riccardo Ullio earlier this year. This location (once another Italian restaurant called Peter’s) was the only one we found that still serves pizza. (PETE CORSON / PCORSON@AJC.COM)

J.R.’s Lounge (176 Fairburn Rd. NW, Atlanta) When someone had the idea to transform this Pizza Hut into a cocktail bar, they looked at the building’s trapezoids and decided to OWN IT. (PETE CORSON / PCORSON@AJC.COM)

Unoccupied (4449 Glenwood Rd., Decatur) It’s safe to say that this location could use a little more curb appeal. It was formerly a temp agency called Dixie Staffing Services, hence the “Applicants Entrance” signage. (PETE CORSON / PCORSON@AJC.COM)

Kemper’s Café (1955 Metropolitan Pkwy, Atlanta) Another pretty extensive building remodel, but those eaves give it away--this was a Pizza Hut. Now it’s a Caribbean restaurant that gets good online reviews, and with an impressive barbecue pit in back. (PETE CORSON / PCORSON@AJC.COM)

Vittles Restaurant (2579 South Cobb Dr., Smyrna): A local favorite, Vittles kept much of the original Pizza Hut trapezoidal windows, and it includes a second building attached to the side. Don’t forget to browse the gift shop on your way out. (PETE CORSON / PCORSON@AJC.COM)

TitleMax (7293 Roswell Rd., Atlanta): Several former Pizza Huts in the area have become TitleMax locations, but this is the only one that was once called the Happy Hocker Pawn shop. (PETE CORSON / PCORSON@AJC.COM)

Scott’s Eats & Sweets (1150 Veterans Memorial Hwy SW, Mableton): Don’t judge a book by its cover. It may look like a Pizza Hut but this is actually a Vietnamese joint that gets serious props on Yelp for its pho and bahn mi. It has an Instagram account too that’ll make you hungry. Unoccupied (2550 Sandy Plains Rd., Marietta--more like facing East Piedmont Road): The Google Street Map shows that this location was still in use as a Pizza Hut as recently as July, 2012. Verizon Wireless (8514 Holcomb Bridge Rd., Alpharetta): Wait, you say, that’s not a vintage Pizza Hut building! No, it’s one of the newer designs for the pizza chain, still repurposed here. Verizon didn’t even have to change the roof color. Some out-of-date online business directories still list it as a Pizza Hut, along with its store hours, which somehow makes us very sad.
