October is evidently national "Adopt A Shelter Dog Month," and Gwinnett is responding accordingly.

Throughout the month, all dogs available at the Gwinnett County animal shelter can be adopted for a discounted rate of $20. That fee includes vaccinations, microchip and spaying/neutering.

Here are photos of adorable future pets that, as of Tuesday night, were listed for adoption on the shelter's website. Click here to find more information (and more adoptable dogs).

The shelter is located at 884 Winder Highway in Lawrenceville and is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Potential adopters should keep in mind that dogs listed online may no longer be available for adoption — and that cats are available for $20 this month as well.
