By now, Gwinnett, you're probably aware that they're building a lot of stuff on Scenic Highway.
Like, a whole lot.
Among many other things, the popular thoroughfare that connects Snellville and Lawrenceville is getting a new Taco Bell, a new dine-in movie theater and a Cracker Barrel (!).
But where do all of these projects stand? And when will they be finished?
Not many have concrete opening dates just yet, but the photo tour below provides a little insight into — and visual proof of — the progress.
At Scenic Highway's intersection with Scenic Pines Drive, work on a new Culver's — of "ButterBurger" and custard fame — is well underway.
There's also a relatively new IHOP next door. Did you know there was a relatively new IHOP next door?
Across the highway from those sites, the new Carmike Ovation 11 — one of those fancy movie theaters with a full food menu and bar — is readying for an opening that's right around the corner.
Across the parking lot, a Jim 'N Nick's Bar-B-Q opened a little while back — thought you might like the reminder.
12Stone Church's Snellville campus — at 1709 Scenic Highway, in the former Best Buy spot — is also up and running.
And now: Cracker Barrel. The much anticipated eatery is under construction at 1750 Scenic Highway (in the budding Park Place shopping center) and currently looks like this...
...and this. At last check it was slated to open sometime in March of next year.
Next to the Cracker Barrel site, a Zaxby's (background) and Freddy's Frozen Custard and Steakburgers (foreground) have already opened.
Further south, near Scenic Highway's intersection with Dogwood Road, a new Taco Bell is looking pretty close to completion.
And next door, a Cook Out location — Gwinnett County's first — finally opened a couple weeks back.
