Good Mews, a no-kill shelter for cats, is sponsoring a bowling fundraiser on Sunday in Marietta.

Good Mews was founded by Gloria Skeen and began in her Atlanta town house in 1998. The shelter is modeled after the Tree House shelter in Chicago. Since its opening 14 years ago, Good Mews has placed more than 5,000 cats in permanent homes.

The fundraiser is set for 2 p.m. too 4 p.m. at Brunswick Zone, 2749 Delk Road in Marietta. Tickets: $20 for two house of bowling, shoe rental and chances for prizes
