Person killed by train in DeKalb

A person was run over and killed by a train Tuesday in Tucker.

According to DeKalb police dispatchers, the male victim was trapped beneath the seventh car on a CSX train near Lawrenceville Highway and Hugh Howell Road.

Police said the man was trespassing in a "restricted area" at the time of the accident, AM 750 and 95.5 FM News/Talk WSB reported.
