Ongoing delays in obtaining two final permits are thwarting road construction on MacDuff Parkway in Peachtree City.

Bob Rolader of Scarborough Development told the City Council Thursday that the second of two permits needed from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is still pending, as is the permit needed from the CSX railroad corporation to build a bridge and extend MacDuff through to Ga. Hwy. 74. Completion of the road was set as a contingency for completing the housing developments in Wilksmoor Village. Rolader said the developers have paid the permit fee to CSX, but the company added new requirements to the process and has yet to issue the permit.
