A permanent partial road traffic shift will begin April 4 for the northbound lane on Interstate North Parkway West to Windy Hill Road.

This shift will affect two-tenths of a mile while road construction gets underway for traffic and safety improvements, including the construction of a roundabout on Interstate North Parkway West by the Cobb County Department of Transportation.

To occur midday on April 4, the shift means northbound traffic no longer will be able to access Interstate North West north of the Extended Stay hotel driveway to Windy Hill Road, according to the county.

Northbound traffic on Interstate North Parkway West will be redirected onto Interstate North Parkway toward Spectrum Circle where Windy Hill Road and I-75 north- and south-bound ramps can be accessed.

This shift will not affect I-75 northbound traffic heading southbound off Windy Hill Road onto Interstate North Parkway West.
