Atlanta City Councilwoman Joyce M. Sheperd, the city's public safety agencies and Atlanta BeltLine Inc. are inviting residents to the grand opening of a new water splash pad at Perkerson Park, 770 Deckner Avenue SW. The event will being at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, and is scheduled to include a neighborhood jazz concert from 3-6:30 p.m. Residents are encouraged to bring blankets, picnic baskets and folding chairs.
