Expressway lanes closures are planned Friday night in the Perimeter area of North Fulton and DeKalb counties for roadway, noise barrier and bridge work connected to the Ga. 400/I-285 interchange project, the Georgia Department of Transportation announced.

Closures, 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.: One left lane of southbound Ga. 400 from the MARTA North Springs station to Mount Vernon Highway; one right lane of northbound Ga. 400 from Mount Vernon Highway to the MARTA North Springs station; and the ramp from northbound Ga. 400 to westbound Abernathy Road. Also, traffic pacing is planned for northbound Ga. 400 from Mount Vernon to Abernathy.

Closures, 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.: Two left lanes of southbound Ga. 400 from Hammond Drive to I-285.

Additionally, traffic pacing may occur between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on the ramps from I-285 to Ga. 400. Ramp widths may be reduced to allow construction vehicles to enter and exit the work zone.
