The Gateway85 Community Improvement District is working on a pilot project to ensure pedestrian safety along one of the area’s busiest corridors – Jimmy Carter Blvd./S. Norcross Tucker Blvd. The purpose of the project is to quantify potentially hazardous vehicle-to-pedestrian and vehicle-to-vehicle interactions, capture and measure traffic intelligence with real-time high resolution data, provide analytics, dashboards and key performance indicators on pedestrian safety improvements, and improve response and travel time.

The study will allow the CID to implement a flexible solution that can leverage emerging technologies that benefit pedestrians and drivers, transforming the Jimmy Carter Blvd./S. Norcross Tucker Blvd. corridor into an innovation hub leveraging smart technology and addressing current and future needs. Information: www.gateway85.com.
