Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run in Cobb

A 36-year-old Mableton man died after being struck by a vehicle early Sunday morning, Cobb County police said.

Joshua Heath Chellew was pronounced dead at Grady Memorial Hospital, where he was taken by ambulance after being hit while a pedestrian on Mableton Parkway.

Police said the driver did not remain at the scene and that the only information they had is that the vehicle may have been small and red.
