Pedestrian hit while crossing Peachtree and 17th

A woman was taken to the hospital after being hit by a car on Peachtree Street Friday afternoon, Atlanta police said.

The incident happened around 1:30 p.m.

The 40-year-old woman was struck as she was crossing the street near 17th Street, police said.

She was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Authorities did not release her name.
