An 85-year-old pedestrian remains in critical condition after he was hit by a car at Lawrenceville Highway and Fellowship Road, DeKalb County police said.

The driver, an 83-year-old woman, was turning right when she hit him in the crosswalk at 1 p.m., police spokesman Officer Jason Gagnon said.

The pedestrian was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Police are investigating the accident, and charges are possible.
