Peachtree Corners has chosen Brian L. Johnson of Anniston, Alabama, as the finalist for the city manager position. As a finalist, Johnson’s background will be vetted, followed by a vote by the mayor and council at the next city council meeting Oct. 18.

For the past three years, Johnson has been the city manager for Anniston, Alabama. Additionally, he was city manager for Garden City in Chatham County, Georgia for six years. His background also includes over 18 years of management experience at both the federal and local levels of government.

Prior to the city manager positions, Johnson served in the United States Army from 2001 to 2005 in several capacities including Company Commander and Chief of Staff. He also served in the United States Navy from 1995 to 1999 as an Intelligence Analyst.

Johnson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Georgia and earned a Master of Public Administration in 2006, also from UGA.
